I love watching 5-Minute Crafts so of course this popped up on my YouTube recommended list! I like this video because the spontaneous creation process where you have no idea where it is going, actually really speaks to how I created my Invisible Cities studies. I read the article, had a few descriptive words in mind, and then started to just play with the tools on illustrator, and kept what looked cool. Because my creative process was based on the material, I'm sure the work would have been very different if I reacted to the same passage with paint and canvas. How do you abstract? Does your work come from material or a concrete idea that you are trying to convey?
