Sketchbook Flip Through

Hi everyone!

I just wanted to share this cool video I found of an artist flipping through his sketchbook. While I imagine this is much more detailed and advanced than most of our sketchbooks will be, I thought his use of abstract shapes and interesting compositions all in black and white could be a source of inspiration for our first project.

Also, I realize it's a long video and don't expect everyone to watch through, but something he said at 19:25 was really interesting to me. He said, while looking at a drawing of some sort of meteor having hit Earth, "All my drawings are self portraits. Some of them look a little more like it than others." And that statement was so fascinating to me that I had to pause the video. As artists, maybe everything we create is a reflection of ourselves in some way. I'd love to hear your thoughts on that idea.
